Module 03 – COMPANION
When the senior retires, 18 years of experience go too. COMPANION prevents that.
The personal AI assistant that accompanies technicians on the job, actively extracts knowledge and gets smarter with every service order. For the whole team, not just the individual.

More than a chatbot
Real scenario: a junior technician, six weeks into the job
Marco has been a technician at a machine builder for six weeks. His first field call is at a press machine, model X4. A fault he has never seen. The colleague who knows the machine is on holiday.
Marco opens COMPANION and describes the problem. COMPANION asks targeted questions: "When does the fault occur, at startup or under load? Which LEDs are lit?" It combines Marco's observations with the manual and with what 14 senior technicians have documented about this machine type over the years.
Marco solves the problem on his own. During the call COMPANION learns from Marco's approach: a slightly different angle on the fault, a new diagnostic sequence. That is captured in a structured way and is available to everyone next time.
In the dashboard the service manager sees: Marco's onboarding for the Type X4 is 34 % complete. Not because Marco passed a test, but because COMPANION recognises from his actual calls which aspects he handles confidently and which he does not yet.
Knowledge extraction method
Three levels: passive, active, deep
Documenting hands-on knowledge voluntarily does not work. We collect it where it arises: on the job.
01
Passive
From chat interactions, service reports and fault diagnoses. Runs automatically, with no extra work for technicians. What arises anyway is captured in a structured way.
02
Active
Targeted questions, designed with psychology in mind. It feels like a colleague following up, not like a form that has to be filled in. Five to ten minutes after selected calls.
03
Deep
For critical knowledge areas: CDM interviews and diagnostic-tree workshops. It turns complex experience into structured knowledge graphs.
Your benefits
What changes for technician teams
01
Juniors productive sooner
Instead of six months of onboarding with a senior alongside: weeks with COMPANION at their side. Access to the team's knowledge from the very first call.
02
Collective knowledge for everyone
Each person's knowledge becomes part of the team. When one technician learns something new, the whole team learns with them.
03
The system gets smarter with every call
Pattern recognition across devices, sites and technicians. Problems are spotted before they repeat.
„We got three junior technicians productive on the Type X4 within eight weeks. Before, that took at least four months, and only if a senior was there."

Module roadmap
Three building blocks that build on each other
You do not have to roll out everything at once. Start with CORE, add CONNECT when your systems should work together seamlessly, and stack COMPANION for active knowledge capture.
